okay real talk about dusk for a sec bc i keep thinking about it. privacy AND compliance at the same time, thats the whole pitch, and i was like ok sure buddy until i actually looked into it and... its kinda legit? idk it uses zk proofs so ur transaction is hidden but a regulator can still confirm the rules were followed. that's actually clever ngl

wait actually let me back up, i said "hidden" but its more like selectively visible, only to ppl who are allowed to see it. not fully invisible. my bad

honestly though most privacy coins just scream "regulators bad" and dusk is like nah we'll work WITH them, MiCA MiFID whatever, build it into the protocol. which is smart but also kinda boring lol which is maybe why nobody's talking about it

anyway adoption is slow. like really slow. mainnets been up since early 2025 and big institutions are still just. sitting there. not committing. classic

i mean the tech seems solid, the idea makes sense, but seen enough "solid tech no adoption" projects to not get too hyped anymore
