Verkle trees are being replaced by ZK-friendly PBT, while privacy has become a core objective through solutions like privacy pools, wormholes, and keyed nonces. New additions include zkzk-frames and leanSPHINCS, aimed at improving post-quantum scalability.
The roadmap is also being streamlined for AI-assisted formal verification, with $ETH focusing more on specialized, scalable technologies like STARKs and AI rather than rushing to implement every possible upgrade.
