According to CNBC, polls have begun closing in primary elections across the country as voters in Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Carolina select party nominees ahead of the 2026 midterms. In South Carolina, polls closed at 7 p.m. ET as Republican voters chose a GOP nominee to succeed the late Sen. Lindsey Graham. In Minnesota and Wisconsin, polls are set to close at 9 p.m. ET. In Minnesota, progressive Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan is facing centrist Rep. Angie Craig, D-Minn., for the Democratic nomination for an open Senate seat. In Wisconsin, Democratic socialist Francesca Hong is the frontrunner for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, while outgoing Gov. Tony Evers has endorsed Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley to succeed him.
