A minor split has emerged within the Bitcoin community — supporters of BIP-110 sought to restrict the inclusion of unnecessary data such as Ordinals in the blockchain, but received support from less than 3% of miners.
As a result, they moved to a separate chain, which mined only two blocks before effectively stalling, while the regular Bitcoin network continued operating as usual.
Ledger separately warned that transferring coins from this chain could be risky due to the lack of replay protection.
