Bitcoin Red Team, a volunteer security initiative, has scanned about 150 Bitcoin code repositories and disclosed more than 10 vulnerabilities. According to Odaily, the team is developing an open-source AI platform to audit Bitcoin software across wallets, cryptographic libraries, infrastructure, and other projects.

AnchorWatch CEO Rob Hamilton said the team has spent about $20,000 on different AI services and has used Kimi K3, OpenAI's GPT Sol, Anthropic's Claude Fable and Opus, and Z.ai's GLM 5.2 to identify vulnerabilities and generate documentation. Pseudonymous Bitcoin developer Calle said the team reported critical vulnerabilities to multiple projects over the past 12 hours, finding about one critical vulnerability per person per hour on average, with daily spending of about $10,000. The team did not disclose the affected projects or vulnerability details.
