A lot of traders think discipline is easy to spot.

You follow your rules, you stick to your plan, everything looks clean when the trade is working in your favor.

But that's not really discipline. That's just a good mood.

The real version shows up after a loss, after you missed the move, after you sat there watching price run without you and did nothing about it. It shows up when you're bored and looking for a reason to click buy just to feel something.

Anyone can follow a plan when things are going their way. The hard part is staying with it when your emotions are pulling you in the opposite direction.

That's the actual difference between a trader running a system and someone gambling with extra steps.
