According to Jin10, Chifeng Gold said its controlling subsidiary, Vientiane Mining, signed an overseas daily operating contract with China Railway 19th Bureau Group Laos Sole Proprietorship Co., Ltd. for 220 million U.S. dollars, or 1,501,163,333 yuan, with a term running from the effective date of the contract until March 31, 2032. The contractor will provide open-pit mining services to ensure the Sepon copper-gold mine reaches its designed annual capacity of 1.3 million tons on schedule and to promote the Kanuo project to begin primary ore mining in the second quarter of 2027.
