According to Jin10, CITIC Securities said news of a ban on copper concentrate exports in Congo (Kinshasa) may further fuel bullish sentiment in the copper market and push copper prices to accelerate above $15,000 a ton. The firm also said it expects the copper sector to see a synchronized rise in valuations and earnings, citing cooling expectations for Federal Reserve rate hikes, frequent disruptions at mine sites, and the United States' continued absorption of global copper inventories.
