Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 617.18 points, or 0.93%, to close at 65,683.26 on August 6, with Kioxia plunging more than 9%.

South Korea's KOSPI tumbled 302.82 points, or 4.59%, to 6,295.44, while the KOSDAQ edged up 0.26%. Among major tech stocks, SK Hynix dropped 10.3% and Samsung Electronics declined 6.3%.
