Here's what happened when the crypto market flipped green in July right after its worst month of the year.

A lot of traders got shaken out in June, then hesitated when the bounce came. That’s the hard part: after a 20%+ market wipeout, green candles can feel like recovery or just another trap.

July gave bulls some relief. $BTC closed the month up 7.36%, while $ETH moved even harder with an 18.5% gain. On the surface, that looks constructive.

But the part many missed is sentiment. The Fear & Greed Index was still sitting at 33, firmly in Fear territory, even as prices recovered. That mismatch matters because markets often get dangerous when price action improves faster than conviction.

The lesson here isn’t to blindly chase the rebound. It’s to respect the gap between price and psychology. If $BTC keeps climbing while traders remain fearful, there may be room for continuation, but if buyers are only reacting to relief after June’s damage, exits can get crowded fast.

Do you think July was the start of a real recovery, or just a relief rally before more volatility?
