Lately, I've been following @BabylonLabs_io 's native Bitcoin-backed borrowing through Aave v4 and the concept has really caught my attention.
For years using $BTC in DeFi usually meant wrapping it into wBTC or relying on bridges both of which introduce extra layers of risk.
Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) aim to change that by making native #BTC backed borrowing possible while keeping self-custody at the center.
The borrowing flow is still on the public testnet, but the direction looks promising for the future of BTCFi.
If this model works as intended, it could encourage more long term bitcoin holders to explore DeFi without giving up control of their assets.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Babylon continues to develop as it moves toward wider adoption.
