#SpaceX drops 11% as 911M shares unlock. Is that money rotating into crypto?

Quick context:

$SPCX-11% pre-market despite a revenue beat (+92% to $7.8B)

→ What spooked it: $18.4B capex vs ~$13B expected

→ 911.5M shares unlock Aug 6, ~$101.6B notional

→ Stock ~$111-118, below the $135 IPO price

Two corrections first.

SpaceX did not sell Bitcoin. All 18,712 $BTC intact. The position fell $1.637B → ~$1.098B, but that's a fair-value markdown, not selling. Still ~$437M in profit.

And an unlock is permission, not a sell order. Nine-stage schedule runs to Dec 8, the extra ~456M tranche never triggered, Musk locked until mid-2027.

Bull case:

→ $170M+ into spot BTC ETFs Aug 4

BTC ~$64.3K, ~52% below ATH

→ IPO insiders have liquidity to redeploy

Bear case, and it's stronger:

→ 2026 flow ran crypto → Al equities. Q2: S&P

+16%, Nasdaq +28%, BTC -10%

→ Citi: ~$3.3B of spot BTC ETF outflows by July

BTC~63% correlated with SPX de-risking
drags crypto, doesn't feed it

No one's shown flow evidence for the rotation.

It's a mechanism, not an observation.

Do you see insider liquidity reaching crypto, or does BTC just ride equities like it has all year?

DYOR.
