Went back through the numbers I have collected on Babylon over the past two weeks and noticed the trillion dollar figure keeps changing depending on which source is talking.

The site itself which I checked a couple days ago cites 1 Trillion doller potential delegations for the staking side specifically. The a16z investment announcement from around the same period frames it differently, $1.4 trillion in idle native Bitcoin as the broader opportunity for Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) as a whole not staking specifically.#baby

Both numbers are describing some version of untapped Bitcoin but they are not the same claim. One is stakings addressable opportunity the other is TBVs addressable opportunity across all use cases Combined.

I actually think mixing these up is an easy mistake to make since both get thrown around as roughly a trillion plus without much distinction in casual mentions. Someone citing Babylons trillion dollar opportunity could be referencing either one without realizing they are different totals for different products.

Neither number comes with much explanation of methodology in the places I found them, so treating either as precise rather than illustrative seems like the safer read.
