#baby $BABY I used to think the friction in Babylon was actually helping it.
Slow vault creation, gas estimates, confirmations, all those extra steps kinda felt like a filter. Like if someone was willing to wait, they probably meant it.
But honestly, I’m not sure anymore.
If creating a vault now takes just moments, I don’t think that automatically means lower quality users. Sometimes friction is just bad UX lol. The real question is what happens after they enter.
And thats where Babylon gets interesting.
There’s a huge amount of BTC sitting in Genesis vaults now, actually doing work as security and collateral. But the BTC itself still has no governance voice. $BABY holders and delegates are the ones making those decisions.
Then we have the 3-day redemption delay. The interest top-up helps deal with the financing drift, but I keep wondering what happens when rates go up, redemptions start clustering or margins get really thin.
For me, the real test isnt how fast Babylon creates vaults.
It’s whether that speed brings sticky capital and real long-term demand.
Less friction is good.
But sustainable participation is what matters 👀
