That led me to @BabylonLabs_io approach to finality gadgets. Instead of replacing an existing PoS consensus, Babylon adds an extra security layer that strengthens finality using Bitcoin-backed economic security. Validators know that violating finality can put their staked BTC at risk, creating much stronger incentives to behave honestly.
What I like most is that it doesn't ask Bitcoin to change. It simply extends Bitcoin's security to help protect PoS networks.
