#FundingRate

91 of 752 Binance perp pairs pay negative funding right now. Yesterday 16:18 Dhaka it was 118 of 752. Same denominator, so the comparison is legal: -3.59pp, 27 fewer pairs in 12h.

Shorts are paying longs on fewer books than they were. De-levering, not a bearish flip - and the majors agree:

BTC +0.001% | ETH +0.006% | SOL +0.010% | XRP +0.008% | BNB +0.011% (per 8h)

All five within a hair of zero. Neutral funding means whatever bid exists is spot-led, which is the durable kind. Fear & Greed reads 36.

The tail carries the story: WAXP pays -0.665% and VIC -0.130% per 8h. Shorts are financing both candles, and both are up double digits today.

Why I write the denominator down every time: yesterday I nearly chained "15.7% negative" to "18.6% negative" and called it a rising trend. The denominators were 752 and 684. Not a trend, an arithmetic error.

A ratio without its denominator is a rumour.
