‎I saw Babylon's PoW chain from a different angle first. It looked like another part of the architecture, but it caught my attention.
‎That was my first impression.
‎The more I looked into it, the more I realized @BabylonLabs_io was doing more than Bitcoin staking. Instead of asking every PoS chain to build its own security, Babylon introduces a PoW chain that is merge-mined by Bitcoin miners. That allows Bitcoin's existing Proof of Work to also secure Babylon without changing Bitcoin itself.
‎What stood out to me is that Bitcoin isn't being moved across ecosystems. The security it has built over years of mining is being reused to strengthen PoS networks and application-specific blockchains while those networks continue running their own consensus.
‎The idea makes sense on paper.
‎But I keep coming back to one question. If more PoS chains begin relying on this model, how will #Babylon preserve decentralization while avoiding a new layer of dependency?
‎I'm interested to see how this evolves because the long-term success of the model won't depend only on reusing Bitcoin's security. It will also depend on how that security scales as more networks adopt it.
