Jumped into a fresh listing once purely off the hype, everyone was posting about it, felt like I'd miss out if I didn't buy right away.
Bought near the top of that first spike. It dumped hard within hours, like it usually does. Early hype rarely lasts, most of it is just people trying to exit their own bags on you.
Now if a new coin is trending, I just watch first. Let the dust settle, see where it actually stabilizes, then decide if it's even worth it.
FOMO on new listings has cost more people money than it's made them.
