Why Doesn’t Babylon Try to Make Bitcoin More Programmable?

For a long time, I assumed every project building around Bitcoin had the same ambition: give Bitcoin more features.

But after spending time reading about @BabylonLabs_io , I realized Babylon isn’t trying to change Bitcoin at all.

That surprised me.

Instead of asking how Bitcoin can become more programmable, Babylon seems to ask a different question: What if Bitcoin is already good enough at the one thing that matters most?

Bitcoin has spent years proving that it can remain secure, decentralized, and incredibly difficult to rewrite. Rather than adding new logic to Bitcoin, Babylon builds around those strengths so other networks can benefit from them while Bitcoin stays exactly as it is.

It even changed how I think about $BABY . I no longer see it as adding new abilities to Bitcoin. I see it as helping other ecosystems make use of the trust Bitcoin has already earned.

Maybe Bitcoin doesn’t need more features.

Maybe it just needed a better way to share its strengths.
