I used to think of Bitcoin as something you just Hold and wait on. Buy it sit on it maybe spend it someday.
That was the whole story for me. But I kept watching how Babylon's Trustless Bitcoin Vaults actually work, and it shifted something in my head.
The vaults let BTC stay untouched no wrapping no bridging it away while still doing something useful for other chains that need security.
That's a strange idea to sit with. Bitcoin not as a thing you own but as a thing that backs other systems just by existing where it is.
I noticed myself comparing it to how validators secure a network except here it's the oldest most trusted asset in crypto doing that job without moving an inch.
If that actually scales, Bitcoin stops being just a store of value and starts being infrastructure other blockchains lean on. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to play out that way plenty of things sound good in theory.
But every time I check what @BabylonLabs_io is building, I keep landing on the same thought: what if the biggest use case for Bitcoin was never spending it but lending its security to everything else.
