Spent an hour actually delegating BTC through Babylon instead of just reading about it, and the thing that stuck with me wasn't the security pitch, it was the finality provider list. #Babylon and $BABY market themselves around decentralizing Bitcoin's economic security across many providers, and @babylon_chain's docs talk about validator choice like it's a core feature. But the interface defaults to showing providers sorted by delegated stake, and nothing nudges you to scroll past the top five. I caught myself about to click the first name on the list, the same instinct anyone clicking "recommended" on a shopping site has. If most delegators behave the way I almost did, the actual distribution of stake probably clusters harder than the "many providers, real choice" framing suggests, no matter how open the design is in theory. The narrative sells decentralization as a property of the protocol. In practice it's a property of user behavior, and defaults are doing more work than governance parameters are. Makes me wonder how many BABY holders have ever changed their finality provider after the first delegation, or if that number even gets tracked anywhere visible.
