I thought Babylon was trying to make Bitcoin more useful.
The more I read, the more I realized that's only part of the story.
The real shift is that Babylon doesn't treat one BTC as having just one job.
The same Bitcoin can secure a PoS network, remain slashable if security rules are broken, and still serve as collateral in DeFi through a trustless vault design.
That completely changed how I think about capital efficiency.
Most discussions focus on earning another source of yield.
I think the bigger question is whether one asset can safely support multiple economic roles without multiplying trust assumptions.
If that works at scale, Bitcoin stops being capital that has to choose between security and liquidity.
It starts becoming infrastructure.
That's a very different way to think about BTCFi.
The challenge isn't proving the technology works.
It's proving that multiple incentives can coexist without eventually pulling the same Bitcoin in conflicting directions.
As Bitcoin takes on more than one role at the same time, where do you think the biggest risk will appear first: technology, incentives, or governance?@BabylonLabs_io #BABY #baby $AKE $BTC $BABY
