Today I originally started researching. $BABY because of the market movement but the chart quickly became the least interesting part of the story. 📉@BabylonLabs_io
The real question that got me hooked was simple. How can Bitcoin provide security to other networks without giving up its core principles? 🤔
That answer led me to Babylon’s self custodial BTC staking.
Instead of forcing holders into wrapped tokens or centralized custodians Babylon keeps Bitcoin native 🧱. That single design choice completely changed my perspective the goal isn't just creating more ways to use BTC but expanding its role without adding unnecessary trust assumptions.
However design theory still has to survive real world stress 🚨.
⛽ Network Congestion. How will the system handle extreme Bitcoin L1 gas spikes when space is tight?
🔄 Unbonding Reliability Can the unbonding process remain smooth and dependable during severe market downturns?
⚡ Cross Chain Security. Will cross chain security assumptions actually hold up when billions in real value are on the line?
Babylon gets the core philosophy right but on Bitcoin every added layer of technical complexity creates a brand new stress test.
Do you think self custodial BTC staking is the missing piece for Bitcoin’s broader adoption or will the complexity of the design become its biggest challenge? 💬
