I've been thinking about something that doesn't get discussed enough in Bitcoin DeFi. We spend so much time watching TVL, trading volume, and partnership announcements that it's easy to assume they're the biggest reasons people trust a protocol. But the more projects I follow, the more I realize those numbers only tell part of the story. What really matters is whether users can verify what's happening behind the scenes.

That's one reason Babylon has caught my attention. Using native Bitcoin as collateral without wrapping it or handing it over to another layer feels like a meaningful step toward making trust more transparent. Confidence grows much faster when people can independently verify how a system works instead of relying on promises.

Of course, every protocol looks exciting in its early days. The real test comes after the hype fades. Will borrowers continue choosing native BTC? Will validators keep acting honestly? Will developers keep building because the protocol solves a real problem instead of simply rewarding participation?

I believe long-term value comes from consistent usage, not short-term headlines. If people keep returning because they trust the system, that's where real strength begins.
