World Foundation Raises $52.5 Million Through WLD Token Sale
World Foundation has raised $52.5 million through a strategic sale of $WLD
tokens, with all purchased tokens subject to a one-year lockup.
The funding round was led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital and Susquehanna Crypto. The proceeds will support the global expansion of World ID technology for enterprises, consumers and AI agents.
World said more than 39 million people have joined its network, including over 18 million users verified through its Orb devices. The project has now raised approximately $492.5 million across token sales and venture funding, despite continuing regulatory scrutiny over its biometric data practices.
