Everyone wants Bitcoin to do more.

Very few are asking what it might have to sacrifice in return.

That is why Babylon keeps pulling my attention back.

For years, Bitcoin holders had a simple choice. Keep it safe or move it somewhere else and accept more risk. Babylon is trying to challenge that tradeoff by exploring whether Bitcoin can help secure other networks without leaving self custody.

That sounds powerful on paper.

The real question is whether people will still use it when the rewards slow down. Crypto has never struggled to create hype. It has struggled to build systems people depend on after the excitement fades.

I am not calling Babylon a winner.

I am simply watching one question that could matter more than the token itself.

If Bitcoin can become productive without giving up the trust that made it valuable, we may be looking at the beginning of something important.

If it cannot, this will become another reminder that good narratives are easy to build, but lasting infrastructure is much harder.

What do you think. Is Babylon solving a real problem or just giving Bitcoin another story to tell.
