I've been staring at Babylon's dual staking setup since I got burned once on wrapped BTC via a bridge and swore off wrapping for good. What's got me curious is pairing native BTC with BABY to secure one chain instead of one asset alone.
BTC stakers lock real bitcoin without wrapping it, BABY stakers back the validator set directly, so Bitcoin's raw weight plus PoS slashing stack together, a thicker cushion than either asset alone.
Still, I wonder what happens when incentives diverge, yield-chasing BTC holders vs governance chasing BABY holders aren't automatically aligned, and that BLS vote bug this year reminded me none of this is bulletproof.
Going forward I'm watching validator participation and whether BTC staking keeps growing once emissions cool, the real tell.
