We spend a lot of time valuing crypto networks through TVL, fees, users and token emissions. Those metrics tell us how active a network is, but they don't always tell us how efficiently it creates trust.
Babylon feels different.
Instead of bootstrapping security with higher inflation, it taps into Bitcoin's existing economic security through native BTC staking. That means the protocol isn't trying to manufacture trust from scratch. It's finding a way to make already established trust productive.
This makes me wonder if we're using the wrong valuation model for $BABY .
Rather than asking how much revenue Babylon generates today, perhaps we should ask how much it reduces the marginal cost of trust for future PoS ecosystems.
If more networks can inherit Bitcoin backed security without recreating it themselves, then $BABY isn't just coordinating validators and governance.
It's coordinating one of the scarcest resources in crypto credible trust.
That perspective, in my view, deserves far more attention than short term price action.
