#baby $BABY @BabylonLabs_io
I ended up reading about Babylon almost by accident today.

At first, I assumed it was just another project trying to find a new use for Bitcoin. But the more I read, the more I realized it wasn't really asking Bitcoin to become something different.

What caught my attention was the idea that BTC could help strengthen Proof-of-Stake networks while never leaving the owner's control. That felt like a surprisingly simple idea, yet it changes how I think about Bitcoin's role. Maybe its biggest contribution isn't doing more things. Maybe it's quietly lending confidence to systems that are still trying to earn it.

I'm not saying this solves everything. Shared security sounds great in theory, but every new layer of infrastructure brings questions that only time can answer. The strongest designs usually look obvious after they work, not before.

I closed the page with one thought stuck in my head: maybe we've been looking at Bitcoin as an endpoint for years, when it might actually be a foundation that other networks can build around—without asking it to stop being Bitcoin.
