#baby $BABY Spent an hour on the Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) testnet yesterday and didn't expect that many known names to already be poking around it.
Public testnet for native Bitcoin-backed borrowing on Aave v4 is live right now — no simulation, actual flow: deposit BTC as collateral, borrow USDC/USDT on Ethereum, keep full custody of your keys the whole time. Grabbed test tokens from the faucet, ran the borrow flow, filled the feedback form. Took less time than I expected.
What got me thinking — TBV isn't asking you to trust a wrapped version of Bitcoin or a bridge operator holding your funds somewhere. It's your actual BTC doing the work. That's a different kind of "trustless" than most of DeFi uses that word for.
Still testnet, still needs stress-testing before anyone calls it production-ready. But the fact that major brands are already testing the flow says something about where this is headed.$BABY
