$ARB JUST GOT A MASSIVE LEGAL GREEN LIGHT
A Manhattan federal judge has officially cleared the way for Arbitrum to move the frozen 30,766 ETH — worth around $71 million — connected to the Kelp DAO exploit.
These funds were previously locked under a restraining order after the attack was linked to North Korea’s Lazarus Group.
Now the court has modified that order.
The Arbitrum DAO already voted in favor of the recovery plan, and the ETH can now be transferred into Aave to begin the repayment process for victims.
Big detail here: Victims’ legal claims are still fully alive.
The court didn’t erase them.
This move simply allows the recovery process to continue instead of leaving the ETH frozen forever.
For months, many thought these funds would never move again.
Now one court decision just changed everything.
30,766 ETH is back in motion.
Victim repayments are finally moving forward.
And Arbitrum may have just set one of the biggest recovery precedents DeFi has seen.
