The Hemi Virtual Machine (hVM) extends the #Ethereum Virtual Machine by embedding a fully indexed Bitcoin node within, letting developers build Bitcoin-aware dApps with familiar #evm tools, now enriched with native access to Bitcoin data and state.
Developers can still work in Solidity, but gain APIs to query Bitcoin, perform crosschain actions, and settle transactions via Hemi’s Proof-of-Proof consensus, a decentralized Layer 2 protocol inheriting Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work security.
Integrated crypto tunnels enable secure, trust-minimized bridge-free crosschain interactions without external validators or custodial risk.
