That’s not uniquely applicable to Bitcoin.

It’s applicable to all financial markets:

* short-term (daily candles) is noise: the SP500 only has a 53.7% chance to be higher the next day on any given day, which is close to a coin toss.
* intermediate-term (weekly candles) is structure.
* long-term (monthly candles) is the trend. The SP500, on average, gains ~10% per year, due that “pesky” 3.7% daily edge. Aka “from big time frames come big gains”

Besides, from a fundamental (and academic) perspective it makes no sense to have a financial market trending down in the long run, including Bitcoin. As with everything in life and the entire universe: growth and expansion.
