Hey Binance Square buddies! Gotta share this crazy experience I just went through – hopefully, it'll save some of you from making the same dumb mistake I almost did with this whole fake arbitrage deal.

So, it all kicked off in a Telegram group. About a week back, the admin posts this arbitrage trading signal for ETH. Basically, buy ETH on Binance, then flip it on some exchange I'd never even heard of. I just watched it happen. But then, a few days later, the admin starts dropping screenshots of all these members saying they made bank. My curiosity was totally piqued, you know?

+1.18%

Then, like seven days after the ETH thing, this new signal pops up for SOL. Curiosity got the better of me, not gonna lie. I threw in a small amount, like $64, bought SOL on Binance, and followed the admin's tutorial to sell it on that shady exchange.

SOL

+0.66%

And guess what? It actually worked! The price difference was insane, like 10%! Instant profit. I was like, "Whoa!" So, I withdrew my profit and my initial $64 back to Binance – no problem. My balance went up to $68. Then I did it again, turned that $68 into $77, and yep, withdrew it just fine. One more time, that $77 became $82, and again, the withdrawal went through.

That's when the greedy little voice in my head started whispering. I was thinking, "Man, imagine if I'd started with $1,000!" It was super tempting. But for some reason, I didn't add any more cash. I just kept playing with my original $64. Talk about a lucky break, right?

So, I try to withdraw my profits (and that $82) for the fifth time, and BAM! My account gets frozen! The exchange's excuse was super vague, but the bottom line is, all my cash is stuck there. It's not exactly "gone," but I can't get it back to Binance or any other wallet. Total lockdown.

Seriously, I'm not even bummed about losing that little bit. It was my own screw-up, my own silly mistake, and a seriously good lesson learned. This whole 10% profit in minutes thing? Total BS. It's a scam designed to look legit at first so you'll dump a ton of money in later.

Biggest takeaway for me: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always do your homework before sending your crypto to some random exchange you've never heard of. Don't let your curiosity or greed get the best of you. I feel kinda lucky I didn't risk more than I did.

Anyone else ever run into something like this? Share your stories in the comments! Maybe we can all learn from each other's experiences.
