WEST PALM BEACH, FL – President Donald Trump has revealed the five cryptocurrencies selected for the U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA).
Trump stated that his January executive order aimed to establish this reserve to solidify the U.S. as the "Crypto Capital of the World." Initially, he named XRP, SOL, and ADA but later added BTC and ETH, confirming their inclusion.
The crypto industry, which supported Trump in his 2024 election campaign, welcomed the move, contrasting with regulatory crackdowns under the Biden administration. However, analysts remain uncertain about how the reserve will be structured, with some suggesting it could be managed through the U.S. Treasury’s Exchange Stabilization Fund.
Despite this announcement, cryptocurrency prices have struggled in recent weeks, erasing post-election gains. Market analysts believe a boost could come from Federal Reserve interest rate cuts or clearer regulatory policies from the Trump administration.
Trump is set to host the first White House Crypto Summit on Friday, continuing his push for pro-crypto policies. Meanwhile, his family has launched its own digital assets, further fueling industry interest.
