According to Odaily, LayerZero's witch hunt has gathered 2312 reports, with 608 of them already reviewed and 1704 still under review. The witch hunt bounty program began at 10:00 on May 18. The bounty reports were due by 07:59 on June 1 and had to include at least 20 addresses. Bounty hunters who successfully reported a witch would receive 10% of the witch's expected token allocation, while the witch would receive none.

In a recent update, LayerZero Labs announced on platform X that the self-reporting phase for witches had ended. Each address that met the requirements would receive 15% of its expected token allocation, with the remaining 85% returned to eligible users. Ultimately, 803,093 addresses were identified as potential witch addresses.

Initially, the team had marked over 2 million addresses as potential witches but later adopted stricter standards to reduce false reports. The team will continue to refine and improve their methods during the two-week bounty hunting process. The initial list will not be updated during this time and will not affect bounty hunters. The final list of witches will be announced after the bounty hunt ends on May 31.
