How Close Is A New ATH For Bitcoin After DeepSeek Dip And FOMC Volatility?

Bitcoin (BTC) has survived two major events that may have derailed its bullish momentum in recent days. Analysts expect a new BTC ATH in the next weeks due to Bitcoin's durability.

Bitcoin Beats DeepSeek Sell-Off, FOMC Uncertainty

After Chinese AI startup DeepSeek announced its open-source LLM this week, US markets fell over worries about its high market value. NVIDIA led the S&P 500 sell-off, falling 16% in a day.

Following market expectations, the FOMC held interest rates steady at its last meeting. After an early slump, BTC survived the hawkish attitude, which was anticipated to hurt crypto markets.

BTC is now priced at $105,839, having recovered from the DeepSeek market slump. The S&P 500 fell 1.25% while BTC rose 1.53% in the previous five days.

New February BTC ATH?
BTC has held up nicely despite the turbulence, according to veteran crypto trader Pentoshi. No reason exists for BTC to not reach a new ATH shortly, the trader said.

Another Bitcoin fan, Castillo Trading, said Bitcoin's pricing structure “looks flawless.” They said BTC would likely rise in both lower and higher time periods.

Crypto trader and entrepreneur Michael van de Poppe predicted a new BTC ATH in the ‘coming weeks,’ suggesting February.

Also, crypto trader Roman posted the following chart, saying, “Stoch & RSI have plenty of room to break $108,000 resistance and head higher.” They stated that BTC bullish divergence is also good.

Stochastic Oscillator (Stoch) and Relative-Strength Index (RSI) momentum indicators assist traders determine whether an asset is oversold or overbought.

While short-term BTC ATH estimates are possible, market cycle peaks are projected in summer 2025. In the face of brief price pullbacks, Bitfinex predicts BTC might reach $200,000 by mid-2025.
