Co-Founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin Reveals He's Never Sold ETH for Personal Gain

Vitalik Buterin, one of the pioneering minds behind the Ethereum blockchain, has recently dispelled rumors surrounding his recent liquidation of a portion of his digital assets. Buterin adamantly asserts that he hasn't sold a single ETH Coin for personal profit since 2018.

In a candid post on the decentralized social network, Warpcast, Buterin urged his followers to disregard misleading reports that incorrectly linked his contributions to charitable organizations to cryptocurrency asset sales. Ethereum, in a notable move, transferred 15.43 million USDC coins to a multi-signature wallet.

In fact, based on data, Butarin made two transfers, one to Coinbase for 500,000 USDC coins and another to the crypto exchange Gemini for a substantial 14.93 million coins. Buterin's June 8, 2023 post on X (formerly Twitter) depicted 'Kanro' as his entity, expressing his desire to fund Covid research projects.

During that time, Buterin unveiled Crypto Relief, a community-managed fund, which had disbursed 90 million USDC from the initial SHIB Coin donations. He then pledged to contribute 10 million of his own funds."
