We recently published our Crypto Industry Map, providing an overview of the #crypto ecosystem.
We explored 4 main verticals: #Infrastructure, # DeFi, #NFT, #Gaming while also highlighting interesting themes for this quarter!
A thread🧵
1/ Infrastructure is the backbone of mainstream crypto adoption.
As innovations in this sector continue, the barrier to entry reduces, making it easier for the masses to embrace the transformative potential of blockchain.

2/ DeFi innovations have supercharged liquidity and opened new investment opportunities in instruments that were once unavailable for the retail investor.
We see continued innovation in insurance and security analytics, helping to ensure healthy development of the sector.

3/ NFTs have had a rocky year so far, with incumbents seeing stiff competition in royalty fees and incentive programs.
Nonetheless, NFT as a technology is here to stay, playing a pivotal role in onboarding web2 users as well.

4/ Gaming is not an unfamiliar name in web2. However, compared to web2 gaming, web3 gaming is still nascent.
With further innovations empowering the end user, coupled with adoption by legacy game studios, we are optimistic the sector will help onboard mainstream gamers.
5/ Innovations in payments rails, cross border transfers and wallet technologies have been gaining traction lately as we see the rise of account abstraction and institutional stablecoin adoption.
6/ Decentralized social networks have recently stolen the limelight, driven by Friend.tech, which has sparked renewed interest and innovation in the sector.
Though nascent, this sector presents exciting opportunities for users, creators and brands.

7/ Real world assets (“RWAs”) are not new to the crypto industry, with a total addressable market in the trillions.
Innovations in RWA tokenization are reshaping traditional finance, lowering costs and increasing accessibility. The output: more efficient capital markets for all participants.
