On August 14, 2026 , the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) granted preliminary conditional approval for the World Liberty Trust Company N.A., to operate as a national trust bank designed from the ground up to issue $USD1 and provide custody under federal supervision.

Once final compliance steps are completed, this charter will allow the company to manage USD1 issuance and reserve custody internally under federal rigorous oversight, institutional controls and clear accountability are how stablecoins become trusted financial infrastructure.
