Deemed consent notice
20 February 2024
Dear Binancian,
Following the closure of your individual Binance wallet on 17 August 2023, you have a contractual claim corresponding with the number and type of Digital Assets that were held in your Binance account on 17 August 2023. As per our previous communication, this means that you can only log into your Binance account for informational purposes and to redeem this contractual claim.
We now inform you that your relationship, including this contractual claim, your personal data and the eligible Digital Assets corresponding with this claim, will be transferred to Coinmerce B.V. (“Coinmerce”) on 20 March 2024.
If you object to this transfer, you need to click the “I opt out” button below no later than 19 March 2024.
If you do not respond to this message by this date, you are deemed to have consented to this transfer. This means that as of 20 March 2024:
(A) you no longer have a contractual claim on Binance regarding eligible Digital Assets supported by Coinmerce;
(B) you no longer can redeem your contractual claim through your Binance account, and the contractual claim you previously had on Binance will no longer be visible in your Binance account;
(C) you have a contractual claim on Coinmerce. This contractual claim corresponds with the number and type of eligible Digital Assets that were held in your Binance account on 17 August 2023; and
(D) you can redeem your contractual claim through Coinmerce by following the instructions from Coinmerce via email as of 20 March 2024.
We have set up a dedicated Q&A on our website on the transfer of contractual claims to Coinmerce. Please reach out to Binance Customer Support for more information.
Please note that you can redeem your contractual claim as usual through your Binance account until 20 March 2024.
We thank you for your support over the years and hope you understand the direction we are taking.
The Binance Team
