In the fast-paced world of cryptocurrencies, everyone wants to be ahead of the game, to have the inside scoop on the movements of the so-called "Whales." These are the individuals and institutions who possess the “big bag” and an uncanny ability to make profitable decisions before the rest of the market catches on.
But what if there was a way for you to tap into the knowledge and actions of these Whales before a massive rally, giving you a chance to ride the wave alongside them?
I will unveil two remarkable tools that can empower you to track the flow of Whales yourself. By understanding and utilizing these tools, you can gain valuable insights into where the Whales are heading, potentially unlocking profitable opportunities for yourself.
The two tools are:
Dune Analytics: Blockchain analytics
DeBank: Web3 portfolio tracker
Meanwhile, before we proceed it is important I let you know this process requires practice and I suggest you be on your computer and walk along with me.
STEP 1:
Go to Dune and search for Token Analyzooor (defimochi dashboard)

STEP 2:
Choose and analyze any token. For this example, let's go with $PEPE.
Go to Coinmarketcap and copy $PEPE contract wallet address

Here's what you need to input to track $PEPE:
- Chain: Ethereum (where $PEPE built)
- Token Address: [Insert $PEPE contract address]
- Timeline: Choose the specific duration you want to track
With these details in hand, Token Analyzooor will unleash its analytical powers, giving you valuable insights into the performance and trends of $PEPE. Including the total number of holders and the value of their holdings.
Prepare for some address filtering action.
As you sift through the addresses, you'll notice a significant chunk of them belonging to either MEV (Miner Extractable Value) bots or on-chain wallets of crypto exchanges. They're not the ones we're after. We have to do a little digging. (This is a whole lot easier if you already have the wallet address of a known whale you have been following).
I found this address (row 5): 0x42f9134E9d3Bf7eEE1f8A5Ac2a4328B059E7468c

STEP 3:
Let’s go over to DeBank to analyze the portfolio of our selected wallet address.
On DeBank, input the wallet address. You will now be able to access the wallet’s on-chain activity, their holdings, and their DeFi movements. Below is assets (in USD) in each chain the wallet has interacted with.

You could also see their wallet holdings

STEP 4:
Investigate the wallet’s holdings and transactions.

From above you could see the wallet is holding a chunk amount of $LYRA. Also, when you navigate to the Transactions page, you will discover the wallet holder has been DCA buying $LYRA since mid March. I did a little technical analysis on $LYRA and also discovered it has been consolidating at the bottom and in an accumulation phase

That's all. Give it a short and ride the wave with whales
