Faced with the heat wave in Texas this August, Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms reduced its Bitcoin mining output in the state. In August, it only produced 333 Bitcoins worth about $8.9 million, a decrease of 18.78% compared to the previous month. The company also received $31.7 million in energy credits from Texas to compensate for the electricity it should have consumed.
