Southern Company CEO Chris Womack discussed the utility’s expanding pipeline of data center projects and its 25-year agreement backing OpenAI’s planned Georgia expansion, according to Bloomberg.

He also said hyperscalers can absorb the cost of new infrastructure while putting downward pressure on electricity rates for existing customers.
