Strive Asset Management bought 1,110 Bitcoin for about $81.5 million, lifting its total holdings to 21,356 Bitcoin and making it the seventh-largest public company Bitcoin treasury holder. According to ChainCatcher, the purchase was completed between August 17 and 21, with an average price of $73,409 per Bitcoin including fees and related expenses.

The filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said the new purchase increased Strive's Bitcoin holdings by about 5.5% from 20,246 Bitcoin. The company funded its Bitcoin treasury strategy through the issuance of ASST common shares and SATA preferred shares.

During the same period, Strive's Class A shares rose by about 3.65 million to 79.89 million, and it issued 441,313 SATA preferred shares. Because of the larger share count, total Bitcoin holdings increased about 5.5%, while Bitcoin per fully diluted share rose only about 1.4%.

Strive CEO Matt Cole said on X that the company added 1,110 Bitcoin at an average cost of $73,409 each, bringing total holdings to 21,356. The company previously bought 147 Bitcoin in August at an average price above $64,800 each and 79 Bitcoin at an average price of $63,231 each, after purchasing 2,500 Bitcoin for $185.2 million in June.

As of August 21, Strive's cash and cash equivalents increased to about $171.9 million from about $154.8 million. SATA preferred shares were priced at about $100, and their annual dividend rate was raised to 13% in April.
